StationBox® Classic is a universal enclosure designed for outdoor installations. Main advantages are universality and applicability for different kind of devices and antennas from different suppliers. After mounting all components look like one entity. The StationBox® Classic is made of durable plastic and it consists only of 4 parts. Our outdoor enclosure is provided with compact mounting bracket. In addition, there is a possibility of using NanoBracket™ for the installation which enables to adjust the enclosure to any direction in range of 90°. Design is very simple, StationBox® Classic is made with emphasis on its functionality.

The main purpose of this product is not only the installation of the device but also the simplicity of sequential service. The StationBox® Classic is ingenious and cost effective solution for outdoor installations of the antennas and devices that is indicated by its extraordinary features including the long lifetime.

Download DXF file of the external edge of the front panel for StationBox® Classic with no holes. By customization of this file, you can create your own front panel. You can let your local supplier to produce your created front panel by using laser cutting technology, CNC milling or CNC punching. Material of front panel can be made of plastic, aluminum or other metal. The only prerequisite is the maximum thickness of 1 mm.

Hint:
The main source of problem at operation of wireless devices is an interference. The most common source of interference is usually our own equipment. The first due to "own" interference is a disproportionate antenna, in other words, the antenna is unnecessarily strong. In this case, we recommend to use the appropriate antenna. A second reason of "own" interference is wrong direction. This case is shown in the picture above. Left side shows the installation where the device is directed to right direction (azimuth), but elevation is not set towards access point which is placed on the roof of opposite home, but it is directed in front of itself. This reflects the "own" signal back to the device which is assessed as interference / noise. Right side shows the correct installation where the "own" interference is eliminated.

MiMo technology enables to get more speed and achieve more bandwidth. StationBox Classic supports MIMO technology by a variety of ways.

The use of dual polarization antennas
It is possible to integrate dual polarization antenna to the StationBox Classic. Such link is suitable for point-to point or point-to-multipoint communication to ensure the increased speed transmission using MIMO 2T2R (2x2). Suitable hardware is for example RouterBoard RB711 dual chain or RB411 with R52N cards from MikroTik.
The use of omni-directional antennas
On the upper side of the top cover are premoulded three holes for attaching pigtails with waterproof "O" ring. You can install up to three omni-directional antennas on the body of StationBox® Classic.

StationBox® has unique Umbrella design to ensure complete protection of installed equipment against the external environment.

Protection against water Based on umbrella design, StationBox Classic protects your equipment perfectly against the penetration of water to an active elements installed in StationBox. Umbrella design principle consists in the fact that the active components and holes are all placed under protecting cover. Because the water fails to rise upwards, the protect against water is perfectly ensured. |
Protection against overheating of device Competitive IP6x boxes do not allow any air exchange. This causes the creation of high temperatures inside the box. Such heat cannot escape and the devices are forced to work in unfavourable high temperatures which can damage installed equipment, or significantly reduce its performance. |
Protection against moisture Construction of the StationBox is designed in order to allow the exchange the air inside the StationBox® with the external environment despite the fact it ensures perfect protection against water penetration. It eliminates the formation of condensate on the interior walls and boards of installed equipment (this excludes the damage of the device due to corrosion).
In the case of competing boxes with IP 6x, box is hermetically sealed and it does not allow any exchange of air. Due to different temperatures in daytime and night, there arise a condensate in these boxes which is precipitated on the walls of the box and installed PCB boards inside the box. over the time the corrosion of electrical contacts occures and it might occure also electrical short circuit and up to the destruction of the device. |

The base of whole idea of simplicity is TOP COVER which includes a compact bracket of the StationBox® Classic. During the maintenance operations, the Top cover remains on its position on a pole or console. This ensures, that the direction to the opposite side of the link remains untouched. All other parts of the StationBox® Classic, incl. components placed inside of the StationBox® - antenna and PCB AP/Router board, are capable to be removed. Consenquently, technician can replace the set directly at the place of installation, or may decide to perform maintenance at more appropriate place. Thus, the time of maintenance (or the time of network's upgrade) is reduced to necessary minimum, counted in just couple of minutes.

The table below shows the service actions neccessary to be taken in the diagnosis and removal of defects, using the standard installations by using the current outdoor boxes, compared with StationBox’s installation. Total time savings at service interventions by using the Stationbox ranged 40-70%. Service interventions are shorter and the duration of the outage is less. The service interventions spend less time and as the service act using the StationBox is easier, it can be used also for the drive (cheaper) of less skilled workers.

The chart shows the effectivity of service interventions using StationBoxes and using standard solutions. The removal rate of failures is significantly higher which contributes to the overall satisfaction of your customers
